Welcome Home!

There is something wonderful about coming home: the familiar space, the precious people waiting to greet you, and the memories of life lived through seasons of change.

After traveling often in recent months, I have come to treasure even more the blessing of returning to my own bed, waking up to my puppies, and sharing each day with my beautiful wife.

As with all things that matter deeply, creating and caring for a home takes time, effort, and dedication; yet even when we move to a new apartment, town, or neighborhood, the question remains: what truly defines a home?

I believe home is defined by people: family, partners, neighbors, relatives, and all those we have grown to love through shared seasons, hospitality, and enduring relationships.

Resurrection MCC is that home for us. For years—and for some, decades—it has been a place where both longtime members and first-time visitors can walk through the doors and feel the comfort of belonging, the warmth of welcome, and the assurance that they matter.

We have something deeply special at Resurrection MCC. We live our belief that all are welcome at God’s table, offering our community and the world a glimpse of what God calls us to be: people who, despite our imperfections, strive to love one another with grace.

On August 16, 2026, the congregation of Resurrection MCC elected Rev. George E. Oliver to serve as our Senior Pastor. Praise God! The hope, excitement, and courage in the sanctuary that afternoon were palpable. This season of waiting, hoping, and learning has prepared our home to welcome Rev. Oliver with joy, gratitude, and renewed purpose.

Rev. Oliver, we are honored to welcome you to your new home: Resurrection MCC. Welcome home.
