| How will you celebrate your uniqueness during this official last week of Pride? What will you do to live into your spirit of joy? Pride celebrations are happening throughout the city to uplift and liberate our community. On Saturday, June 29, many of us will march together for Houston’s 46th Annual Pride Celebration, along with thousands of other people who believe in unity and strength. Pride is about embracing all of who you are and sharing your beauty with the rest of us so that we can experience the gift that you are to this world. Together we stand strong! Pride celebrations empower us to face difficulties and challenges with courage and conviction. When you recognize your intrinsic value, you may find strength in knowing that you are part of God’s glorious creation. Your willingness to be your true, authentic self is one way to honor your life no matter how you choose to celebrate this month’s Pride. The poet Maya Angelou says, “I can be changed by what happens to me. But I refuse to be reduced by it.” Let your life shine! Shine! Shine! Shine! Let your love shine, again and again!
