On Sunday, Rev. Renae Phillips shared a powerful message about the importance of being good stewards of our time, treasure, and talent. The story of the king who gave his servants gold and left them to multiply it is a strong reminder that God has entrusted us with unique gifts and abilities. Just as the servants in the story were given different amounts of gold, each of us has been given unique gifts and talents. It’s up to us to use these gifts to glorify God and make a difference in the world. Whether it’s through serving on a ministry team, volunteering your time, or donating to the church, there are countless ways to put your gifts to use. Throughout the Bible, we see numerous examples of individuals who were faithful stewards of their gifts. Consider David, who used his musical talent to worship God and inspire others. Or consider Mary, who used her time and resources to care for Jesus. These individuals understood the importance of using their gifts to serve God and others. As we reflect on the message from Sunday, let us ask ourselves: How will I use my talents, time, and treasure? What can I do to be a better steward of the gifts God has given me? Let’s commit to using our gifts to make a positive impact on our church, our community, and the world. Blessings, Veronique Walker |
