| Pride month is here, and our folks are already joining in the fun! Many activities are planned to help us come together to celebrate ourselves and our community. This is what pride is about…taking time to celebrate and recognize the beauty and vibrancy of our community. More than twenty years ago, Christina Aguilera released a song called Beautiful. Her words play in my head often and especially when surrounded by all the spirited and creative people of our community. These words ring true today… “No matter what they say, we are beautiful…We are beautiful in every single way!” These are the words that I encourage you to live by, day in and day out as you celebrate the gift you are to this world.
