Step On Out Saturday Night with Resurrection OWLS at Neon Boots! 🏳️🌈
This week for Pride Month, our OWLS community is hosting a Resurrection “Steppin’ Out Saturday Night” with country and western dancing at Neon Boots. Join your church family for some boot scootin’! I have had the same pair of cowboy boots for 46 years; I acquired them when I was in the production of Oklahoma! at Saint Agnes Academy—they were desperate for boys. My boots are a little worn, but they still work and are ready for Saturday. Let’s have some fun!
Last Sunday, we began Sharing Our Pride with the testimony of Christy Irvin who, shared her faith journey of ultimately finding Resurrection, and why she and Suzette have a recurring weekly gift to support the ministries of Resurrection. Christy invited all of us to join them and become recurring online givers, to “just set it up and let it go.” She said she and Suzette give weekly because, “…we believe in RMCC’s vision of radical inclusiveness, spreading the love of Jesus into our congregation and our community.” You can hear Christy’s testimony and experience the whole service HERE.
For Sharing Our Pride, we have two asks of you. First and easiest for most, you are invited to prayerfully consider your generosity and to create a recurring online gift plan. Volunteers will be in the Gathering Place this Sunday to assist you should you want to start online for the first time or would like to update your plan. An online recurring bank draft is the most efficient, confidential, and cost-effective way to support RMCC’s Love in Action! Second and a bit riskier for some, you are wholeheartedly encouraged to invite someone to return to worship or to try Resurrection for the first time. This second ask challenges you to live more deeply into being hospitable by being invitational. Won’t you do both—update or begin recurring giving, and share your faith love story inviting another to church?
You are invited deeper into the love story.
Just say yes!
Rev. Troy
PS: Following worship this Sunday in the Gathering Place is our congregational Town Hall to share the results of the congregational survey. Join us as we plan for our future!
