Fellowship with One Another – Let Resurrection Be Your Village
The phrase “it takes a village” might seem cliche, but it holds a deep truth within. We explored our commitment to community and “one-anothering” each other with last Sunday’s series Belonging: Thriving Together in the first week of our new series, Finding One Another. We reminded ourselves of the one thing labeled “not good” in the Genesis creation accounts was to be alone. You can experience last week’s worship HERE.
Also last Sunday, I shared that Walter and I were successful on our scouting trip to Galesburg, Illinois, in finding a new home for ourselves in retirement. This happened much sooner than anticipated it and shifts our timeline to Walter’s leaving at the end of July, and my leaving (anticipating a quick sale of our Houston home) to join him in Galesburg on September 1. The RMCC Board and also the Pastoral Search Committee each gave updates on next steps in the coming weeks. You might want to check them out HERE.
This Sunday will bring Fellowship With One Another. Join us as we welcome new members and keep exploring thriving together.
In anticipation,
Rev. Troy
PS: Walter and I responded to the Board’s invitation to make an additional summer gift by donating an extra or 13th month gift now. Please join us as you are able! Give here to our general ministries: https://resurrectionmcc.org/giving-opportunities/
Rev. Elder Troy Treash
Senior Pastor
PS: As our RMCC board seeks to close the generosity gap this summer, please join them in making an extra donation to the ministries of RMCC!
