Trusting in the Process

Trusting in the Process

Trusting in the Process 🙌 More than an unfulfilled phrase

To “trust the process” is more than an unfulfilled phrase; it’s an unshakable promise. The final outcome of what God is producing in us is secured. Those whom God has justified truly, God will glorify fully. Even now, Christ “has perfected for all time those who are being sanctified” (Hebrews 10:14).

What is sanctification? Sanctification is God’s will for us (1 Thessalonians 4:3). The word sanctification is related to the word saint; both words have to do with holiness. To “sanctify” something is to set it apart for special use; to “sanctify” a person is to make them holy.

Our congregation is doing a lot of trusting as we discern the task of finding a new leader for our church community and in knowing that we are following the path God wants us to follow in doing so. Together, we sanctify this process. In the end, we can be confident that we will be better as people of faith.

It’s our goal to open our church to those looking for a spiritual path with a common denominator, be it a feeling of family, LGBTQ+ acceptance along with Christ-like values, or just a safe place to contemplate the future. We can get things done in safe spaces.

Our upcoming Annual Congregational Forum (ACF) and Annual Congregational Meeting (ACM) will review where we’ve been and where we’re going. We can create a fresh start that feels good. We might hear things that we question or that give us concern while we foresee a new budget and new board members; it’s a time to ask questions for deeper understanding and make meaningful change. It’s an inclusive, collective voice, and as members of the congregation, we all have one. Be a part of the process.

If you missed last week’s service where Pastor Candace talked about “ladders and gates”, you can find it HERE. All of our recent messages point to the hope that climbing a ladder or opening a gate gives us.

Walk with us!
