Love is in the Air | Experiencing 52 Years of Loving Our Faith Community

I look forward to this time of year, especially Easter time, although I admit April came quicker than I had anticipated. I love watching all the children run around searching for that one golden Easter egg and enjoying the excitement of all the fun activities and hopefully eating chocolate candy. Seeing the children having fun is enough to make me smile and be reminded that love is still in the air. When I think of the phrase, “love is in the air”, I think of the power that love has to overcome all adversity and to bring people together to create more compassion and unity.

In a few weeks, our church will celebrate fifty-two years together. The number 52 represents rebirth, a new beginning. At Resurrection MCC, we are constantly evolving, creating an experience where people can believe in the power of love to keep us together and make this world a better place. When the founders of our church began planning, they did so with the thought that the city of Houston needed a more inclusive place for all to worship. Our people are committed and dedicated to keeping that dream alive. Join us each Sunday in April as we remind ourselves of all the ways we experience love when we are together.
